I’m honoured to call Lisa my friend. A few months ago, Lisa was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. News that no woman wants to hear. In a matter of weeks she started treatment and began her journey to fight this horrible epidemic. With a smile on her face and determination like no other, she’s about to receive her last bout of Chemo this week (yay!) I’m not sure I’ve ever met someone who’s endured so much in her young lifetime, but who remains so strong. She is an incredible women. I’ve been honoured to photograph some of her journey and thank her for trusting me to do so. Over the last few months Lisa has been journalling her experiences with cancer in an incredible blog filled with all the highs and lows she’s experienced as she fights to kick cancer in the butt. I encourage you to check out her blog at: http://iamonetoughchick.blogspot.ca┬áLisa, thank you for sharing your journey with us. You are a beautiful person both inside and out and we are all humbled by your strength and ability to inspire all those around you. You are a fighter…xo….spread some love and leave a comment below!

Lisa, you look beautiful!! I am your brother’s friend from waaaay back in Whitby. You are one of the toughest chicks I’ve ever met, since I first saw you rollerskating at Wheelies. I see you kicking cancer’s ass!

Despite the frigid temperatures, these two completely warmed my heart! We could not have asked for a beautiful setting! With the crazy cold temperatures we’ve had over the last month, we were forced to reschedule this shoot multiple times! Looking back at these photos, it was meant to be! We managed to get some decent temperatures long enough to shoot this session and before this little angel decided to make an appearance! ! Renee and Josh are expecting there little guy to arrive any day now! I am beyond excited for them as they begin this new chapter in their lives! Renee has been an amazing assistant and second shooter to me over the years. I’ll definitely miss her this season, but I’m beyond happy for her and can’t wait to photograph her little man! All the best! xo
